Our Story

My life changed completely when I became a mother ten years ago. Like all new parents I immediately wanted to do the very best for my son. I already knew from studying child development and psychology about the importance of the first six years of life. How do I install a growth mindset? What language do I use? How do I raise a resilient child that doesn’t give up? How do I teach gratitude? How do I raise him happy and joyful? My journey began.

There are many things that we could do well as parents, but what happens when our children start nursery? Do teachers use the same positive language? Do they know of the growth mindset? What values and beliefs do they hold?

I went searching for a place where my son could thrive, follow his natural curiosity and cultivate love for learning, feeling free to be who he is. It was important for me to feel certain that my son would be happy and grow into a confident, independent person. I was disappointed in what I found and gradually, I started to dream of creating a school like no other.

A place where all children are nurtured and loved, where their individuality and personality are highly respected and they are not ‘pushed’ to conform and comply.

A place, where joy is in the air and the innate love for learning is further cultivated.

A place, where teachers are calm, peaceful, in love with what they do and with a deep understanding of the children’s soul.

A place where children feel the freedom to be who they are and where they are surrounded by order, harmony and beauty.

This is how My Montessori School was born.

It is a dream turned into reality.
