I help parents raise independent, confident children in a calmer, more respectful way.

Hi, I’m Didi

I’m a Montessori qualified educator, and the founder of My Montessori School in London. But more importantly, I’m a parent who knows how confusing and overwhelming modern parenting can feel.

My journey into this work didn’t start with a business plan.

It started when my son was born and I found myself questioning many of the mainstream approaches to raising children. I wanted something gentler, more respectful, and more aligned with how children actually develop.

That search led me back into child development, conscious parenting, and exploring different early years approaches, from Steiner and Reggio Emilia to self-directed learning and attachment-based education.

Over time, Montessori stood out as the approach that felt most aligned with how I saw children, learning, and family life. I decided to formally train as a Montessori Educator and that path eventually led me to opening my own school.

Over the years, I’ve worked closely with hundreds of families, watching children grow into confident, independent, emotionally secure little humans, and watching parents relax into their own intuition again. Again and again, I saw the same thing: parents don’t need more information. They need clarity, reassurance, and support in real-life situations.

That’s the work I do now.

I support parents in making sense of behaviour, routines, boundaries, independence, school choices, and all the everyday decisions that shape family life, in a way that feels calm, thoughtful, and realistic.

Alongside my work with families, I’ve taught parents from around the world through my YouTube channel on conscious parenting (originally called Smart Parent Stories), which reached over 14.4k subscribers, and through my online baby-feeding course, taken by parents in more than 60 countries.

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Level 4 Montessori qualification, and my work blends child development theory with the realities of everyday parenting.

But what matters most to me is not theory or labels. It’s helping parents feel more confident, calmer, and more connected, both to their children and to themselves.

Many parents come to me not because they want more information, but because they feel overwhelmed, unsure, or disconnected from their own intuition.

Modern parenting is noisy. We are constantly told what we should be doing, worrying whether we are doing it right, and comparing ourselves to unrealistic standards.

My work with parents is not about parenting the ‘right’ way, because there is no single right way.

I support parents in creating more calm, clarity, and trust for themselves and their children. I draw on child development, Montessori principles, and years of working closely with families, while always respecting the reality of modern life.

Whether things feel hard right now, or whether things are already going well and you simply want to be more intentional and confident as a parent — this space is for you.

Parent Clarity Session

The Parent Clarity Session is a focused, one-off conversation designed to help you reflect and see what’s really going on beneath behaviour, emotions, and daily friction. This session is for parents who want perspective, reassurance, and grounded guidance. It’s about understanding more clearly and feeling more confident in how you move forward.

In this session, we will explore:

  • What’s happening in your specific situation.
  • Patterns in your child’s behaviour and emotional responses.
  • Patterns in your own reactions and expectations.
  • A few grounded shifts that genuinely matter.

You can bring anything that feels confusing, heavy, or unresolved, including questions about:

  • Your child’s behaviour or emotions.
  • Daily routines, boundaries, behaviour.
  • Sibling dynamics.
  • Starting nursery or school.
  • Independence, confidence, or separation
  • How to respond without constant guilt

This session is especially helpful if you:

  • Feel overwhelmed or unsure how to respond to your child.
  • Keep second-guessing your decisions.
  • Feel confused by conflicting parenting advice.
  • Want grounded guidance rather than rigid methods.

Many parents come to me because things are going well, and they simply want more clarity, confidence, and perspective as their child grows. They care deeply about how they show up as parents and want to be intentional about the foundations they are laying.

This session is not therapy or coaching. It’s a thoughtful, steady conversation designed to bring clarity and confidence into how you respond and lead as a parent. My perspective is informed by child development, years of working closely with families, and Montessori principles, which I draw on when they are helpful and relevant to your situation.

Montessori at Home

Montessori approach has proved itself over more than a century as one of the most thoughtful and effective approaches to raising and educating children.

It is rooted in deep respect for the child, an understanding of natural development, and the belief that children thrive when they are appropriately supported to become confident, capable, and independent human beings.

At its heart, Montessori is not a set of techniques. It is a way of seeing children, and relating to them, that supports conscious, respectful parenting.

This one-to-one session is for parents who want to bring the essence of Montessori into their home life in a grounded, realistic way.

Not to create a perfect Montessori house, but to create an environment, and a way of parenting, that helps their child thrive.

Many parents are genuinely surprised by how much becomes clearer in just one focused hour.

With a small number of simple principles and practical adjustments, you can create changes at home that not only make daily life easier, but also support your child’s independence, confidence, and development in lasting ways.

This session is for you if:

  • You want to support your child’s independence without constant battles.
  • You care about respectful, conscious parenting but feel unsure how to apply it day to day.
  • You want to understand why certain approaches work, not just what to do.
  • You want calmer routines and fewer power struggles at home.
  • You are already doing a good job and want to parent with more clarity and confidence.

You don’t need to follow Montessori strictly, and you don’t need special materials. This is about understanding a few core principles that make daily parenting easier, calmer, and more intentional.

What we explore together

In this 60-minute one-to-one session, we explore the foundations of Montessori and how they apply to your real family life. Depending on your child and your questions, we may explore:

  • The core principles of Montessori — clearly and simply.
  • How children develop independence, confidence, and self-trust.
  • How to support autonomy without pressure or power struggles.
  • The adult role: tone, presence, boundaries, and guidance.
  • Creating calm, connected routines and rhythms.
  • How your way of parenting shapes your child’s long-term development.
  • Practical guidance you can apply immediately at home.
  • A calmer approach to boundaries and routines.
  • A clearer understanding of your child’s needs and behaviour

This session is shaped around your child, your home, and your values.

This session will help you shape an environment that supports your child’s independence, confidence, and emotional development.

What Parents Are Saying

My daughter Alexa attended My Montessori School, and I can truly say it was the best care she could have ever received. The teachers were so attentive, kind, and genuinely loving – you could feel how much they cared about each child as an individual. What stood out most to me was how beautifully Montessori principles were honored in practice: children were given the space to explore, express themselves, and develop independence in such a nurturing environment.

Mimi Ikonn,
Parent

My Montessori stood out from all other nurseries right from the start; we knew from the moment we stepped in that this would be a welcoming, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment for our twin boys. Didi and her outstanding teaching team have been wonderfully engaged at every step of their nursery journey: making sure that both children and parents have the necessary support during the settling-in process.

Stephanie Aird,
Parent

“Our experience at My Montessori was exceptional. The teachers’ care, dedication, and deep understanding of each child created a truly nurturing environment. The Montessori curriculum was wonderful and thoughtfully designed to encourage independence, curiosity, and confidence. What stood out most was the calm, beautifully prepared environment and the genuine warmth of the staff, who always led with patience and respect. We felt so fortunate to have been part of such a special school community where our daughter and son were encouraged to learn, explore, and grow every single day.

Lindsey Jagger,
Parent

My daughter spent two fantastic years in Didi’s Montessori nursery. Equipped to the highest standards , calm and purposeful… for various activities encouraging curiosity and independence. A separate appreciation goes to the staff and the care with which Didi chose every single teacher; they were all very professional and what stood out the most was the way they connected with the children – patiently, respectfully, and with genuine warmth. The Montessori experience gave my daughter confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning. I couldn’t imagine a better foundation.”

Working at My Montessori School under Didi’s leadership was a truly beautiful experience — a rare blend of professional growth and heartfelt care. I watched children begin to read, write, and fall in love with learning — but even more inspiring was their independence, critical thinking, and joy. Parents were delighted to see their children’s progress and many were inspired to bring Montessori practices into their homes.
